Hurricane Survival Guides

Each year Emergency Managers from Fanklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor and Wakulla counties partner together with the Red Cross to produce a local Hurricane Survival Guide. This year’s guide is out!

If you didn’t receive (or possibly overlooked) this year’s Hurricane Survival Guide in the Tallahassee Democrat and/or local county newspapers….never fear! We have an electronic copy just for you! The Hurricane Survival Guide provides you and your family with a comprehensive checklist of what to do when you decide to stay/go, where your local shelters are and how to contact your local Emergency Management.

In addition to the Hurricane Guide, you can also visit: to create your own family disaster plan.

Remember during this hurricane season it is important for you to: STAY INFORMED, HAVE A PLAN and GET A KIT!
