Exploring Humanitarian Law Workshop

With all the war and violence our youth are exposed to daily through the news media, it is sometimes difficult to explain the challenges on the ground or how we can make a difference to those affected by conflict. Luckily, the American Red Cross has created the Exploring Humanitarian Law Toolkit, a free resource for educators across all fields of study, to aide teachers with explanations of these difficult international conflicts.

With over 30 hours of hands-on activities, first-hand accounts and thoughtful reflections, the EHL toolkit is a great resource for any educator looking to further awareness of international conflicts and solutions. The EHL toolkit has been used all around the world to educate students about human dignity. Exploring Humanitarian Law is fun, adaptable and free.

Please join us at the chapter this Thursday, October 21st at 6:30pm for our educator workshop.  At the workshop, we will explore the EHL toolkit, discuss how teachers from all fields of study can incorporate it into their preexisting lesson plans and share in some food and fun. We will also provide future opportunities for continuing education units (CEUs). Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!
