North Florida Flood Disaster Response

The Capital Area Chapter is continuing to respond to local flooding in Madison County. Currently, there is one shelter open in Lee, Madison County. For more upated information about the shelter, please visit our website at www.tallyredcross.org

In addition to the shelter, Red Cross volunteers are continuing to do damage assessment and client casework in areas where flood waters have started to recede.

The State of Florida Division of Emergency Management has opened an Essential Service Center in Lee. Essential Service Center is designed as a one-stop shop where local residents can receive information on recovery activities, state and local services, and connect to faith and community–based relief organizations. The center will operate from the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until further notice. The location is:
